Chattanooga is a city rich in railroad history. The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, an operating museum, has something for everyone. You'll also find the Chattanooga Choo Choo, the National Model Railroad Association Headquarters and A. C. Kalmbach Memorial Library, and several area shortlines.

 | The Chattooga and Chickamauga Railway, a CAGY subsidiary, operates two lines in the Chattanooga area. One line operates from a connection with NS in the St. Elmo area south to Kensington, GA on former TAG trackage. The other, and probably better known line is the former CofG line from a connection with NS just off Rossville Blvd in Chattanooga south to Summerville, GA. The CofG line is also used by TVRM for excursion trains run several times each year. |
