The Garbage Truck and the Railroad Bridge

I don't care what your dispatcher said, the railroad isn't throwing the bridge away.
Gotta remember to put those front forks down -before- you drive off...we've all had days like this.

Overturned Feed Truck

Mark Mc and I were wandering around near the CSX Wauhatchie yard when we heard the dispatcher talking about a grain truck that had just overturned on the railroad tracks.
We turned the corner and found the truck laying on its side. Fortunately the NB train had stopped for a crew change just down the track.
As we're sitting there watching the wreckers hook up, the bell starts to ding, the lights go on, and the gate starts down...and stops on the roof of this wrecker. Something during the recovery set the crossing detector off, we knew the railroad had shut down this mainline but you just never know.
The truck is on its wheels again and the railroad will be running after a quick track inspection.

Overturned Crane

CFD Quint 13 keeps a watchful eye on an overturned crane.
Apparently the crane was attempting to lift a rather large monument. Fortunately the crane toppled toward the monuments instead of into the middle of Brainerd Road, a 7 lane artery that runs from downtown to the suburbs.
Dentons Wrecker brought out a Class 3 truck to assist another crane from the crane company.
Another view of the wrecker and crane trying to upright the toppled crane.
If at first you don't succeed, get a bigger crane...
The crane is upright, and you can see the damage to the operators cab.
Monuments are lying on the ground.
